Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.

2027? Are you serious? They already came and marked them up and never completed all the work. Another winter is going to accellerate the deterioration even more

West Northamptonshire Council is committed to maintaining safe and reliable roads, but it isn’t possible to repair every pothole immediately. The council must prioritise repairs based on available budget, workforce capacity, and the need to address the most safety critical defects first. All decisions are guided by the Highway Inspection Manual, which sets out how road defects are assessed and the timescales for repair. This ensures that resources are used responsibly and that the highest risk issues, such as those posing a danger to road users, are dealt with as quickly as possible while lower risk defects are scheduled appropriately within the limits of available funding.

2027? surely a typo? The holes are getting worse and really cannot wait until then. It appears as though only half a job was done, presumably you only paid them half their fee? Please review this as a priority - thank you.

How does one follow FMS-8666838-1? Your explanation doesnt make sense because you went to all the effort of closing the road and did not fix the worst section.
