Few centimetre gap, damaged and loose kerb on Dulverton Road

Reported via mobile in the Damaged/Loose category anonymously at 12:45, Tuesday 13 January 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8679590.

To West Northamptonshire Council Highways and Roads,

This defect was previously reported to the council, but it was assessed as “not dangerous.” Since then, the condition has worsened significantly. The droppedkerb stones are now loose, unseated, and visibly lifted, with large gaps underneath. The attached recent photos clearly show structural failure and instability.

The kerb shifts under normal foot pressure and vehicles driving over it, creating an immediate risk of trips, falls, tyre damage, and potential stone displacement into the road. This hazard affects pedestrians, cyclists, mobility users and vehicles entering or exiting the driveway.

Because this defect has now progressed and the council has been previously notified, the responsibility to act is even more urgent. If an injury or damage occurs, it would fall under council liability due to prior notice of the defect.

I request an urgent reassessment by Highways and a repair plan. The evidence now clearly demonstrates that this kerb meets the criteria for a dangerous defect and requires immediate attention.

Please see comparison pics with the other side, to see the difference also.

Please confirm receipt and provide a date for inspection.

Thank you

Kind regards Muhammid

Location: Dulverton Road, outside 44.
