Can we actually have someone out to inspect this road from the A43 to Banbury. This is a major link road that is carrying HS2 construction traffic, along with extra local traffic due to other road closures caused by HS2 that have been delayed reopening. People should not be risking an accident or significant damage trying to get their kids to and from school.
Most of these potholes at now P2 standard moving to P1 due to location in the road, causing cars to move into oncoming traffic to avoid or being thrown across the road due to the depths, width, length and location of these 50 or so potholes. These are changing significantly daily.
I truely believe that West Northants Council just think this is a "B" road, but it is not and should be maintained to A road standards, especially with the hundred of HGVs and construction wagons going down this road, it is literally breaking apart before your eyes as it is not built to take this type of traffic.

So noone has actually been out to inspect these pot holes, some of these are now moving to P1.
Holes are now minimum of 4 inches deep 10 inches long and in the exact line the wheels need to go in.
Are you waiting for a head on collision of people avoiding the potholes, or when they get a blow out or broken suspension.
The HS2 construction wagons will have these as an emergency call out within the next couple of day with how they have deteriorated in the past 3 day.

So Ill take that as a no.
One part of the carriage way heading to brackley has now failed the whole width of the Banbury side of the road. The edge has collapsed away and the potholes have now joined. This is now a P1 under your own guidance.
The remaining stretch now has solid P2 potholes with depths passed the undercourse of the road.
There is now debris from the failed road and the undercourse now all over the road, which will now bring additional risks of damage to cars body work and paint work. Some of these dangers are now filled in with water and look like a puddle.
Please react accordingly to the P1 and P2 potholes.

Are you waiting for someone to be seriously injured or killed, or a tirade of claims heading your way? Your highway inspector or yourselves are lying if you have inspected this part of the road and categorised it as P4. The patches you put in on Monday have already failed and have taken even more road with them. This is pure negligence now and will be indefensible.
