Investigating
Very poor reinstatement of cross-pavement gully.
Reported via mobile in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 12:54, Wednesday 4 February 2026
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8836778.
Contractors have lifted the gully (I believe to lay fibre, but residents have had no contact from them to explain their work). It has not been properly replaced and now stands proud of the paving, forming a tripping hazard. It has also been left full of mud and cement.
This is typical of the quality of reinstatement from these works and steps should be taken to get the contractor to improve matters.

Regarding the work by Prodig in the middle section of Ashburnham Road, NN1 4RA, the workmen have now finished and cleaned the pavement and people are still walking the mud into their houses, which is worse now than before they started and all the soil etc has just gone into the gutters which they did not clean out. Also they have partly filled in the cracks to the paving slabs that they took up and this is very dangerous. I take it that this will be repaired properly.

Obviously taking on new contractor takes a little time contractley .
