Failed repair of tench across the whole carriage way

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8921625.

A previous repair of the road surface across the whole road is now in such poor condition that it is now damaging vehicles

    The road drain cover is also collapsing as well as the trench across the carriageway. There is a water culvert underneath this section of road. This is not helped by 30 ton+ articulated lorries rerouting this way, when the A14 is closed. The road was never built to take this weight.

  • This pothole is dangerous and will result in an accident . The bend is sharper than it looks on the map and declines down hill . There is no vision around the bend due to woodland therefore you have no alternative to hit the pot hole or be in the middle of the round when cornering , either option is dangerous. Its not just the pot hole the entire piece of road dips from the pothole to adjacent side is in total disrepair and cars bounce out of it even at slow speed .

  • I can’t believe this has not been fixed. The trench crosses the whole of the road. I have driven from Naseby to the A5199. I was only going 40 mph and by the bang as I went over it, it sounded like it may have damaged by suspension.

  • 3 days ago I had no option to avoid the large pothole even though I reduced the speed dramitically as an on coming vehicle approached . Subsequently my vehicle has now since been in the garage getting repairs.

  • No doubt people trying to avoid this deep pothole have now damaged the road across. The original repair to the road some months ago in fact made it worse. the whole area need re surfacing
