Huge potholes just before turning into business park

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 21:11, Thursday 5 March 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9054866.

The holes have been there for weeks and if you dont want a burst tyre you have to swerve into next lane. So dangerous when cars are next to you

  • The pothole has increased in size and is more severe than those which have been fixed along Deer Park Road. Cars swerve from the left into the right last minute - honestly shocked there hasn't been an accident.

Along this section of road there are currently 32 potholes (this isn't an exaggeration, I have counted - admittedly most are small, though there are some such as this which could easily damage a tyre) and only 1 has been repaired.

  • This is the current view as of today 13/04/26. As other people have commented this is impossible to avoid unless you move into the other lane. Just one of the many potholes on this road to try and avoid. Given the amount of traffic that use Red House Road on a daily basis this is a hazard.

  • With the record Network North funding allocated to this Council, there is no justification for leaving a hazard like this on Moulton Park unrepaired for five months, the council's attitude to road safety is reckless. This requires an earlier intervention to ensure basic road safety.

  • I first reported this pothole in January - ref 8807973. This has since disappeared from the map which is very concerning. I note that this is anticipated to be fixed by September, why is it taking 9 months? This whole road is dangerous as there are so many potholes
