2 Tree overgrown dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category by Alexandra Kadiri at 20:05, Wednesday 8 April 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 1 day, 15 hours, 34 minutes later. ref: 9260605.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding two trees located in the alleyway between our properties at [15 Newcomer Road NN5 7AZ in the back alley ]. These trees have become a significant concern for several reasons: Safety Hazard: The branches and roots are causing damage to surrounding structures and may pose a risk of falling branches. Hygiene Issues: The leaves and debris from the trees accumulate frequently, requiring daily cleaning. This not only creates a constant burden but also contributes to an unsanitary environment. Pest Attraction: The dense foliage provides shelter for rodents, which has led to increased sightings of rats and other pests, further affecting the quality of life for residents. Given these concerns, I kindly request that the council arrange for an assessment and appropriate maintenance of these trees, including potential trimming or removal, to mitigate these issues. These trees have become a significant safety hazard and cause ongoing distress for my family and me. The fallen leaves attract rats, which poses a major concern for our children’s safety, as we are worried about the possibility of rat bites and other health hazards.

Additionally, we have had to repair our boundary fence twice in the past few months due to damage caused by the branches . The trees make it difficult to maintain cleanliness and safety in the alley, and we believe it is crucial to address this issue now, especially during winter when the leaves are less abundant.

I will also attach some photographs to illustrate the current condition and the impact these trees are having on our property.(I couldn’t attach all the photos)
