  • There are still long traffic queues at all times of day at the A43/A45 junction. A journey which used to take 20 mins now takes at least 35 minutes. The traffic lights are changing too quickly. Why is this going on for so long?

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for your enquiry. This site is monitored daily via CCTV to assess traffic conditions and signal performance. Our observations indicate that traffic levels at this location are currently higher than usual due to drivers diverting away from other nearby roadworks. The traffic signal equipment at this site is due for renewal as part of a planned upgrade programme. In the meantime, we are reviewing the current signal timings and are investigating whether adjustments can be made to improve traffic flow on Saturday mornings ahead of the renewal works. We will continue to monitor the site to ensure the signals operate as effectively as possible until the upgrade takes place.
