Overgrown trees

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 11:28, Wednesday 8 July 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9753307.

The trees are overgrowing onto the footpath and it is difficult to walk down the path. Visibility is really poor along the path at night-time and it's difficult to see whether someone is walking towards you - making it a personal safety risk. Also, it's not possible for two people to pass each other on the path - the trees are too overgrown and overhang low onto the path. I've raise this before and was told the maintenance team at Morning Star Road were responsible. I spoke to their maintenance team and was advised it's not their responsibility and they don't deal with road-side trees. The whole section needs to be cut back so the path is fully accessible as it's quite dangerous to walk along this section.
