Large and deep pothole, alongside the inactive bus stop

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Mohammed Amin at 10:32, Monday 20 July 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 9814249.

Pothole has been there for more than 6+ months and continues to get deeper. This is a high traffic road with various large vehicles driving across which causes the pothole to get even bigger

  • Driving along Bants lane this morning and taking avoiding action around a large pothole I found an existing report on street doctor. This report dated 20th July. It then states an inspection within 5 days. Then goes on to state inspection made and repair logged within 26 weeks. I am somewhat surprised to note that there is no sign of any markings around the pothole as appears to be normal after an inspection. ie yellow spray paint..

  • The potholes are currently not marked , causing drivers to drive over them especially at night when visibility is reduced. The large deep pothole should be marked with a yellow or white paint
